29th May, A Day Never to Forget.
I woke up early today, 8:30am in the morning. The moment my eyes popped open, my brain told me something terrifying: "Concert's today.." Heaving a sigh, I sat up on my bed. "11 hours and 30 minutes to go." I blurted, waking Angie up as I stood on the ground, accidently stepping on her pillow. I managed a smile and winked a "morning" before I went outside.
Having a fight on the night before with my mom didn't make anything easy. But it was still fine, I prepared myself, got everything ready and waited for a phone call from FL jX2 saying that she'll come pick me up. About 10:15am, she called. I hopped outside, onto my left slipper, outside the front door, along the corridor, into the lift, down, out of the lift and into her car. We reached MTC around 10:35am. My dad was a minute earlier and had parked his van nicely, getting ready to bring all the props down.
Putting the props and banners on stage took a rather long time:
--"Move that right pot to the left, no no no, I mean my left, your right... yea, a little bit more.. yea yea... thanks!"
--"Err... I think that banner should move a little to the right... cannot see lar, that tree blocking it liao. K, thanks!"
--"FL jX2, do you think we should put that sengeted tree in the middle or on the right?"
The piano man came in, we had a few minutes of discussion where we wanted the piano to be before he started tuning the piano, making "Tonk Tonk Tonk" sounds as we continued moving the stuffs around. Putting the mic up was really "PENING KEPALA", it took them rather long to get 5 mic up on the ceiling and hanging down... then when it was done, we started to mess with lights. Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple.... disco meh?
We just went through scene one with the lights when the big monsters started stomping into the hall... choir memebers. Okay, so we got everyone ready on stage and did a few scenes for lights... then I think it's a waste of time if we run it without mic now, so the mic people started fixing the mic... and boy did they take a long time. The choir members had fun though... jumping like monkeys around the hall, deciding which is the best seat, complimenting how nice the props were laid in place... and etc. Our long rehearsal lasted around 3 hours, by the end of the rehearsal, everyone was cold, hungry and bored. We had an hour break time before the Preview at 5:10pm, and everyone ran to get ready.
I finally had lunch... along with FL jX2 and the other crew that came in early in the morning.
Preview.
It was disasterous.
Thanks to mommy dearest, who came to look out. She messed up the curtains and lights at the very first scene. My Stage Manager (FL jX2) got mad but she couldn't do anything since its mommy dearest for me and boss dearest for her. So I decided to take the lead and shouted "CUT" through the mic. Waaa... director wor... I know I'm so gonna get it from her if I do this. I demanded a restart (since we're just at the first scene) and I demanded that all the crew were to follow what we had rehearsed in the afternoon. Mommy dearest made a comment through mic also: "If you don't on the curtains, there's no jungle feel... and its a jungle song!" I rolled my eyes back stage ... so did my stage manager. lolx. at the same time. And I said through mic: "Sorry, but that is HOW I WANTED, I'm SORRY people, I want you guys to run through the first scene again the WAY I WANTED it. TQ." and mommy dearest shut up. Ho Ho Ho. Trust me, both me and Stage Manager wanted to stranggle her to death at that moment.
Well, after some time of horrible moments in the preview, things began to smooth out. The preview came to an end and we gathered everyone on stage and I was about to say something when mommy dearest came stomping down. "MY DEAREST PRODUCER, WE NEED TO TALK!" For two seconds I didn't know what the heck she was talking about so she yelled again, "PRODUCER, THIS IS IMPORTANT." I shrugged and hopped near her. She ordered me to sit. on stage. Gah. How easy would that be... ok, fine. Then she started bla bla bla bla blaing' about stuffs that she thought it was no good. I listened, of course I did. But I really couldn't stand her sarcastic tone. Even the choir members shook heads. C'mon mommy dearest, you are just the penasihat, you can give comments, but you CANNOT change things that the DIRECTOR set. If you think it's not good, you can discuss with the director. Not change them yourself. Gah.
"Nevermind, you guys are gonna be just fine!" I told the choir members and let them have their break time. It was aproximately 6:30pm. "1 and a half hour to the concert." So we ate dinner, bath, make-up, rest, went to the loo... and did some last minute preparation before the big thing.
Around 7:30pm, two reporters from Oriental Daily came up to the dressing room and had a short interview with me. Haha... I'm gonna look SO OLD in the news... since I'm already dressed as Granny, all ready for the show.
8:00pm.
Everyone was excited, nervous, scared, happy, -- mixed emotions. We were ready to bust it and do our best. But Stage Manager told us we might have to start 7 minutes late since it was total chaos at the front counter. We had group hug... twice. And everyone bounced off to their position.

"Welcome to Simshen's Junior Youth Choir -- Little Noise, show of the year. This time, bringing you their VERY Own musical -- JUNGLE WONDER!" and the show took off. It was spectacular. Everything went great.
9:30pm. Everything ended, we waved goodbye to the audience and pressed smiles that would almost seem to never fade. We packed and cleaned up the place, everyone was in their highest spirit, having the best time of their days. I smiled and sighed. Happy it went well and sad that it's all over. We went back to Pandan Indah, got all the props into Simshen and we went for supper before the night bid us goodbye as a new day arrives.

It's been two days since. As for me and mommy dearest, we hadn't talk since... I tried, but no response... so not bothered to do so anymore. Yesterday night we had our celebration party along with Jason's birthday party at Fish's house. Everyone had a great time, can't wait till the next time I lay hands on that PS... GAH! I was so NEAR to winning!
I woke up 12:00pm today. Just finish practicing piano, Rong and Angie's out in Simshen and I'm left at home with nothing to do. So, decided to come blog blog before I forget everything.
But hey, 29th May. Which Little Noise member would forget that?
