Beijing - Day 01
Airport. After leaving my parents, I stepped down the escalator and into the train where it took me to the duty free zone. I stepped into the world of sweets and candies ... CHOCOLATE! Not for myself. Uh-uh. It's a souvenir, for my teachers worx. Wonder how many teacher I'll be having... sigh. I bought three boxes of chocolate in this promotion pack where it only costs RM45.80. After that, time to board my plane. I proceed to C25 where I took a seat waited for the gates to open... When it did, I went in, throwing my luggages on the little x-ray machine before I walked through the little barrier thingy. Then the guy sitting in front of the computer stopped me and said that there was a long metal in my carry bag. AND after almost 20 minutes checking (taking everything I so susah payah stuffed inside out), he couldn' find anything. Pah.
How's flight at night? HORRIBLE. They wake you up two o clock in the morning and ask you to eat. WHAT the... (Sweat drops). Well, besides that, no one sat beside me, so I slept pretty well throughout the flight.
Landing hasn't been much of a problem. I met up with the 88 group a long with "Little Rice" (Nickname of our tour guide)... he was really nice and friendly and had loads to say. Although I must say some of his jokes were really ... er... cold. Breakfast was superb... we had it in this huge restaurant which looked like a palace instead of a restaurant. It's pretty famous... cuz I saw a lot of celebrity's pictures that the restaurant crew took hanging around.
After breakfast, it was time to head to the MRT station. Little Rice offered to give me some money (3 bucks), cuz he was afraid I didn't have any change. But I declined it, cuz I had loads of small money... I need to mention this... he was so sweet. Lolx. He's pretty young and okay looking... hehehe...
Guess what? I've been roaming around Beijing EVEN just on my first day.
My luggage's handel broke. GAH. Second time. First time I came to Beijing, it happened. Second time I come, it happened again. *Angry* It makes things so much more complicated... going down the steep stairs of the MRT (I counted, around 65-70 steps) and going up again to buy tickets.... and down again to the railway station. My arm was shaking madly as though I was some drug addict by the time I reached my school.
I reached my school around 11, then I had to go settle my hostel fees. After that I need to go register for a card access to the piano practice rooms which is two streets away from the school//hostel.
After that I walked to lunch with my friends from Beijing. And after lunch, I had to walk to the nearest bookstore (Which is again more streets away) to get some books I will be needing for my first conducting lesson today.
THEN I walked back to school, pack everything I need... including my piano books, my baton, my conducting materials and bla bla bla into my school bag and off I went walking AGAIN to the piano practice center where I practiced two hours ++ of piano and realised: Oh Shit. I left my handphone in the hostel, have to go back and get.
So I went walking BACK to the hostel before I head to the nearest bus station which is opposite the school... Thank God. THEN I waited for my bus for a FREAKIN long 20 minutes... considering that it's bloody cold.
After that I took the bus to the station nearest to my teacher's house and head off on a mission to find my teacher's house. Which of course, I always end up lost. But with good people and good courtesy and without doubt courage, I managed to walk myself to my teacher's house after an hour... JUST in time for my lesson at 6pm.
Waiting for the bus was HORRIBLE. I waited at least for 40 minutes before it decided to turn up. GOSH! I feel like strangling the bus driver: "WHERE WERE YOU?! I ALMOST DIE OF COLD!!!" But I didn't...
Finally at 9:20pm I reached my lovely and cosy room... bathed... now drinking milo... talked to mom... and listened to Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 3rd Movement. I'm gonna memorise it! HOHOHO!
11:00 -- Mom called again, check whether I'm sleeping worx...
Current Mood: Extremely tired, feels good after drinking milo, but not energized. Need to sleep soon.
Chatting with MF and PM.
Playing on WMP: Beethoven
