Beijing - Day 02
The alarm went off at 8am sharp. I opened my eyes and moaned, "Gosh, shut up." Before my eye lids shut, I managed to slam the alarm off. No big program today, why on earth did I put the alarm on so early? The daylight in Beijing doesn't come out so early in the morning... but it goes off really fast in the afternoon. Approximately 9 o clock in the morning only the sun shines, but around 5, you see no more day light.
I had breakfast... ate some biscuits and bread and a cup of hot milo. Right... what else to do? Go practice piano. The sky was looking all gloomy and it was extremely cold! Even indoors... but piano... you still had to walk all the way to go practice it. Sigh.
The moment I stepped out onto the grounds, I nearly shrieked: "AHHHH!!!! SNOW!!!" It was snowing rather heavily and the grounds was covered all over with white patches. It was a rather funny sight, especially on the bikes that lined up at the left of the gates or dogs trying to lick the snow that fell upon them. So this is how it feels to live in a country with four seasons.
I realised something suddenly. I'm very easy to please... HAHAX. A little snow and I'm head over heels. Lolx.
Practiced piano for around 3 hours today. I actually could practice more... but decided better not. Cuz I only have 100 hours for around 40 days... Went back to my hostel and ate mee for lunch again before I started listening to Beethoven's Symphony No.1 ... An hour later, I was found snoozing like a pig on my bed with Beethoven still playing on Windows Media Player... (I had it on repeat mode)
Finally after a horrible nightmare of Beethoven waking up from his grave and punching me in the nose for leaving his lovely symphony no.1 on my WMP, I woke up and continued practicing my conducting which I was supposed to memorise the third movement by my next lesson on next wednesday.
Of course, night came and I had to wonder what to eat for dinner... which immediately after my thoughts came the solution. RIGHT at my door. XinYao came and knocked on my door... she didn't want me to keep myself locked up in the room and thought it'd be good if she introduced the new people one floor below. I met some new people... Cheryl, JunYi, DeXing, Johnny (he cooked some lovely curry) and of course those I've known a year before, Patrick, Josh, YongSoon, XinWan and etc.
I found out that the test I was about to sit for in 30 days time was NO easy task. This got me worried. But I think I can handle with some extra work. Right. Time to do more work before I go and meet up with Datuk Chaw.
