Beijing - Day 04
I set my alarm at 8 this morning, but ended up waking at 9...haha. Breakfast was milo and bread and peanut butter + chocolate spread... WAHAHAHAHA... nicest breakfast since arrival (except the one on the plane geh). Nothing on this morning, so can lenggang lenggang for a while before I start studying for my exam on harmonization and thoery in chinese... gosh. Why can't they learn english?! It's so much easier to understand. Lolx. Try translating "Rachmaninoff". *headache*
Finally after a few hours, just before lunch, I think "better call my harmonization + hearing + theory teacher"... His voice was very low and very grouchy and sounded really fierce cuz all his phrases were short and staccatoed. So he gave me the impression that he was around fourties, was someone who's short, old with moustache probably bald or something which contrasted very much with his nice name "Shen Hao"... Like it or not, he's gonna be my tutor anyway. He shocked me with, "Come at 5pm to 琴房楼 (tall building, music rooms) for class" ... and he didn't mentioned which room, he said ... "go ask." when I asked him which room. *raises eyebrow* oo-kay. Meanie.
So, I quickly packed my books and head off to practice piano at YingMan Piano Rooms on the opposite street. I've actually been waiting the whole morning for XinYao cuz she said she could come and teach//help me with harmonization at two o clock... now. Since my "darling" harmonization teacher decided to have lesson almost straight away and I haven't touched the piano today, I'd better run off and go practice. GOSH the piano sounded TERRIBLE... NONE! I dare say NONE of the keys were in tune... *shudders remembering playing Chopin's Black Keys Etude* I was in room 14 this time. Gah. On my way out after 3 hours, I met JunYi who was outside room 8 waiting for his hearing teacher. We chatty-chat for a while before I run off to "Quick" (7-11 in China) and bought two big botols of mineral water. Takleh tahan the hostel water...
I went back to the hostel and took what I needed to bring to my class... didn't really felt like going after imagining what my tutor would look like. Sigh. As I head my way out on the 6th floor corridor, I saw this tall good looking guy leaning at the counter, smiling and talking to the 6th-floot-hostel-keeper. The first thought that crossed my mind was, "Wow, cute." He was probably asking for something... the second thought that crossed my mind was, "Gosh... is he staying on this floor?! I want to get to know him..." Then he looked at me this weird way instead of a friendly greeting as though saying, "Who's this weirdo?" Okay... maybe I was weird, humming the beethoven symphony and waving both hands as I skipped along the corridor and walked when he stared at me and then skipped again to the lift. Lolx.
Off to 琴房楼, this time, I brought extra 10yuan. Hehe. The counter girl said Shen Hao wasn't in. I shrugged... I was early. Then that cute guy I met at the hostel walked pass and the counter girl smiled at him and greeted him: "Teacher Shen Hao, How are you" I couldn't understand those words at first. Then the counter girl turned to me and said, "Shen Hao teacher is here, follow your teacher up lar." He was at the lift, and we stared at each other for a few minutes. GOSH MALUNYA... I WAS SKIPPING AND HUMMING AND WAVING MY HANDS LIKE A MORON IN FRONT OF A CUTE GUY WHO APPEARS TO BE MY HARMONIZATION TEACHER?!!! AHHHHH... KILL ME! We both couldn't help grinning as we went up the stairs to 3rd floor. He decided to climb instead of waiting for the lift. AHH, so cute. Lolx. He was probably grinning because I was so silly and now am acting so serious. I was grinning behind him (making sure he didn't see me grin) because he's so cute. Lolx.
Harmonization class was GOOD of course... considering having a cutie as my teacher. Lolx. No lar, he's a good teacher. And well, I'm gonna have a major headache with all the harmonization rules and regulations. Hearing for me... wet wet water lar. I got most of it correct. But well, not trying to be modest, but still have to work on it geh. Theory wasn't that bad lar... just harmonization.
Later I came back and called mom, it was LittleNoise's practice time. Gosh do i miss them. =] Oh well... hope everything went well. It turned out not too bad lar, like what I thought it'd be.
