Beijing - Day 03
I woke up extremely early today... 6:45am. Why on earth did I wake up so early? My lips was burning like hell as though if I make any single move from that moment onwards, it'll tear into pieces. So I had to get up and find water. The thing is, the water they provide at the hostel don't taste very good... so I hardly drank much water besides the botol of WaHaHa mineral water which had just a teeny weeny beeny bit left.
After a small breakfast of milo and milo and milo only, I went out for my piano lesson which was supposingly at 9:30am. I only brought 300yuan with me to pay my tutor... then when i reach the 琴房楼 (a very high building that holds hundreds of music rooms), the girl at the counter before the lifts greeted me.
Lift Girl: What are you up to?
Me: Huh? (blur... you talking to me eh?)
Lift Girl: Are you here to practice or attend class.
Me: Ohh... (still blur, woke up too early, now still half asleep)
Lift Girl: So?
Me: Oh! right.. attend class.
Lift Girl: You need to buy a ticket.
Me: Eh? (Ultimately Blur.. i'm here for class wor... also have to buy a ticket meh?)
Lift Girl: Over there.
So... I bought a ticket which costs 10yuan, which also means I'm 10yuan short to pay my fees. So off I went back to the hostel, just to realise that I was also carrying money in my jacket. GREAT. Now walk back... fully awake, thanks to the cold and dready air.
Piano Class so far was okay. I'm not a very big fan of Bach's... there's just too many ways to play it and every different human being who plays Bach plays it differently in their very own style. Some say, "it's Bach, you have to be more conservative." Some say, "Bach's a romantic guy, you have to express yourself more freely." Some say, "Bach wrote it for a harpsichord, play it like a harpsichord." Some say, "You're playing on a piano, why not play how the piano should sound?!" I say, "What The Tut. Skrew Bach." My the piano was so horribly out of tune, the moment I placed my fingers to start Chopin's Etude Op.5, I nearly got a heart attack, but I had to hide my expressions and continue playing the horrible tune as though I heard nothing... *shudders* I don't know when will I be having lessons with this teacher again, but he's not my type... as in, not the kinda piano teacher I would like. Let's say, I've been brought up to play Bach not so well... expressively.
Later on I walked back to the hostel and started knocking on the table and on books with my thumb and index finger as a wave my arms through the air like some moron... practice conducting larrr...
Around lunch hour, I met up with XinYao and she accompanied me to the bookshop on the opposite side of the school... I bought some books with 12 percent discount... these people have far-nee ways of giving discounts. 12 percent? Lolx. After that, it's piano practicing time. Today's piano was much better then yesterday's.... couldn't recall what room, I think it's the second room.
5pm, I went back to my room and came online to stop my brain from thinking about Bach... gosh, WHY BACH?! No one was online on my MSN list, well, no one I wanted to chat with till Josh popped up and we talked for a while. I was thinking about tomorrow's breakfast and thought why not go get some bread or something, so I told him that I wanna go out and get some stuffs. Hehe, he offered to take me around... cuz I said "You've been here longer than I have" when he asked me where I was going. No lar.. actually, he wanted to get food. Lolx. So we went to this mini underground supermarket and shopped for groceries//snacks. He's moving out tonight to stay at his friend's place, sad. Now YongSoon's gone, he's gone, patrick's going tomorrow, XinWan's going next week, Jean's going in a few days... I'd be left all alone to roam the corridors. Hahaha...
Ok. Off to bed. Chaox.
